The Accounting Services for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston are divided into the following departments: (1) Archdiocesan Accounting; (2) Financial Analysis; and (3) Parish Administrative Services. Our mission is to keep accurate financial data for the pastoral office, parishes, schools, and general endowment funds. We service over 204 Archdiocesan parishes and schools and outside entities, plus over 246 departments, sub-departments, and programs. Our ministry is to provide administrative support to our Archdiocesan family.
The Controller manages the general accounting office for the Archdiocese. The overall mission of this office is to provide accurate and timely financial information for our different ministries.
The Archdiocese Accounting department handles accounting issues related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, DSL, and revenue functions.
The Financial Analysis Department handles general accounting issues related to financial reporting. They specialize in cash, investments, budgets, and financial review of all funds including but not limited to the operating fund.
