“Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission." (CCC 1213)
OCIA is a process meant to form adults and children of catechetical age seeking the fullness of the Christian life and to become disciples of Jesus, their teacher. This includes a gradual initiation into the mystery of salvation, the practice of faith, hope, and love, and other virtues in a succession of liturgical rites leading to the sacraments of initiation.
The Order of Christian Initiation is designed for:
1) Anyone who is 7 years old or older that has never been baptized.
