The Office of Pro-Life Activities will begin offering its miscarriage support group beginning on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 7:00 pm. The group will be held virtually. This seven-week group is available for individuals and couples following miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss. Save the date!  The annual Archdiocesan White Mass celebrating Catholics working in healthcare is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 6:30pm at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.  A dinner reception will follow with Dr. Caitlyn Trader, S.T.D., professor and bioethicist, who will speak on the Ethics of AI in Healthcare.

The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston is proud to present this workshop for ministers, clergy, caregivers, and individuals.  Sponsored by the Office of Pro-Life Activities and the Office of Aging, the workshop will consider topics including the ethics of pain management, navigating hospice care with dignity, determining which medical interventions are morally required, as well as finding God in suffering.  Our Facilitator, Dr. Caitlyn Trader, M.S., S.T.D., instructs seminarians at Sacred Heart Seminary & School of Theology in Wisconsin and regularly consults with the National Catholic Bioethics Center.  Join us on October 21, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Msgr.
