Support following a Prenatal Diagnosis
Learning your unborn child may have health concerns is often a frightening and traumatic experience for a parent. You may be unsure where to turn for help, uncertain about a potential diagnosis for your child and unclear about how to move forward.
The Jerome’s Hope team is here to accompany your family through pregnancy and beyond, helping to connect you with needed support and ensuring you have adequate space and needed information to make the best decisions for your family to welcome your child.
How we Help:
Your family will be connected with a member of our Parent Care Coordination (PCC) team. Your PCC will listen and accompany your family with the variety of needs that may arise during and after pregnancy. A PCC may assist in a variety of ways including:
Connecting your family with up-to-date research on particular medical conditions
Suggesting ways to communicate with friends, family, or a baby’s siblings about a possible health condition
Assistance in creating a birth plan to prepare for your baby’s arrival
Supporting your family in advocating for your baby during pregnancy, at birth, and beyond
Providing a safe space to discuss your family’s concerns and questions
If you or someone you know has received a prenatal diagnosis, our team is here to help. Contact our team today at 713.741.8728 to learn more.
