Mission Trips

Every year, several parishes within the Archdiocese of Galveston Houston organize local, regional and international mission trips to bring God’s message of Faith, Hope and Love to the young, marginalized and oppressed, especially the poor. Team members generously offer their time, talents, creativity and wisdom in service of those in great need.

These trips are well organized and have existed for many years. We would love to have you join us on a trip and be part of an incredible week of ministry as well as experience new cultures, visit new places, and meet amazing people.

TRIP DESCRIPTION: Medical missionaries of the Divine Mercy provides medical, dental, vision and spiritual outreach. We serve ~ 1100-1200 patients: The poor and disadvantaged, with free medical, dental, vision, audiology, chiropractic and physical therapy and spiritual and healing services.

Colombia

DATES: June 7-14, 2025 (Cartagena) & Sept 20-27, 2025 (Bogota)
PARISH: St Martha, Kingwood
CITY: Cartagena & Bogota
TRIP DESCRIPTION: Work with the impoverished communities of El Pozon and Lucero Alto, partnering with local parishes and God is Love Schools in their programs in Ministry, Education, Family Strengthening, Income Generation, and Basic Services. Activities include educational programs with students, Maintenance and Infrastructure and Medical Outreach.

TRIP DESCRIPTION: The Medical Missionaries of Divine Mercy provide medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, audiology, pharmaceutical, physical therapy, and spiritual healing services during a weeklong Health Fair (medical mission) that serves the indigenous Cabecar Indians as well as the local citizens of Grano De Oro, Costa Rica.

TRIP DESCRIPTION: Sponsors a mission to Honduras in the summer to the mountain communities west of Trujillo. The mission includes sacramental, catechetical, medical, and dental teams.
