The Sacred Heart Society seeks to provide enduring support for the future needs the Archdiocese and the advancement of our Catholic faith.
How do I become a member of The Sacred Heart Society? Members name the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston in their estate planning. Please notify the Development Department at the Archdiocese of your intentions in writing by providing a copy of the portion of your will or other instrument designating your gift. You may also notify the Archdiocese through the Gift Intention Form below.
What does my legacy gift support? Gifts can support areas such as your parish, clergy formation and training, Catholic schools and ministries.
What are legacy gifts? Planned gifts—made through wills, trusts, life insurance policies, or other estate‑planning tools—provide a church or religious community with reliable, long‑term financial support.
By bequeathing money, property, or investments that take effect after the donor’s death or as part of a larger estate plan, these gifts create funds for future projects, repairs, or endowments.
This enables the parish to budget beyond its current resources, ensuring its mission can continue for many years.
For donors, planned giving offers a meaningful way to leave a lasting legacy and make a lasting impact on the faith community.
There will be a special Mass followed by a reception held annually for members of The Sacred Heart of Society.
