Hello everyone my name is Carlos Reyna. I graduated from the University of Houston and been attending St Mary Magdalene for about a year now. I love baseball, audiobooks, and going to concerts. What I love most about the church is how it brings together people across all cultures and paths of life. Fun fact about me, I still play Pokémon GO.
Julie Moon is an engineer by training and studied social and religious science at Istituto International Mystici Corporis in Florence, Italy. She has more than 20 years of experience in mentoring and working with teens and young adults as a youth coordinator of the Focolare Movement. She believes and dedicates her life to building a worldwide community which thrives through encounter, dialogue and inclusion. She has young adults very close to her heart and wishes to journey together with them in their intellectual and spiritual life. She attends Christ the King Parish in Houston.
Gui’s bio: I am a consecrated member of the Focolare Movement and regularly attend Christ the King Church in the Heights. I love the Catholic Church for its faithful transmission of Christ's teachings and its synodal journey, and I appreciate young adult ministries as places of authentic fellowship and growth in faith. I enjoy reading, walking, spending time with people, and contemplating the beauty of nature. I also love cooking because I believe that gathering around the table is a special opportunity to build fraternity and a true sense of family.
Howdy! My name is Tim Ross, I currently attend St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in The Woodlands, TX. I am originally from Evergreen, Colorado and moved to Texas in 2012. I am a convert to the Catholic Church and I entered the church in 2013 during my sophomore year in high school. I attended Texas A&M University for my degree in History and attended the University of North Texas for my Masters in Library Science. I am currently in between jobs. My hobbies are that I do living history for the the Texas Revolution, Republic of Texas, and early statehood. I enjoy reading about history, the saints, and the faith during my free time. My favorite band is Pink Floyd and current favorite artist is Raye. My favorite movie is psychological thrillers due to them making you second guess everything plus a huge Star Wars fan also. I’ve known Matt for five years from the Young Adult group at St. Anthony of Padua. My favorite thing about the church is the history of the church through the saints and the liturgy. I am a very big liturgy nerd and know random facts about it. My number one favorite saint is St. John Paul II and was able to go to Poland and see where he grew up in 2024. I look forwarding to be with y’all in the next few weeks with Café Catholica!
Jithesh and Patrick are excited to welcome young adults from across Houston for coffee, conversation, and authentic community. Between them, they enjoy pickleball, improv comedy, theology, travel, great food, and exploring Houston. Patrick is a Kentucky-raised cradle Catholic who rediscovered his faith in college. He studied geology in graduate school and works as a project manager for a startup. Jithesh is a senior research scientist and bioengineer developing cancer therapeutics. He affirmed his Catholic faith after investigating various Christian denominations in graduate school. They both love the Church for its timeless truths, rich traditions, reverence for beauty, and the gift of the sacraments. Whether you’re new to Houston, new to the faith, or just looking for community, all are welcome to join them to learn, grow, and discover how the Lord is working in our everyday lives.

Hi! We’re Vicky Lopez and Luis Del Cid, and we’re excited to serve as Café Connect facilitators!
Hola amigos, somos Jackie y Miguel!
Hi! We’re Zac and Alex—lifelong friends and now fellow catechists/volunteers at St. Thomas Aquinas in Sugar Land. Zac graduated from Marquette University and spent five years as a missionary in developing countries; he’s passionate about catechesis, music, and good conversations especially with coffee or sour gummy worms in hand. Alex has grown up at St. Thomas and now works at the parish full time; she studied art at the University of Houston and loves concerts, gaming, spending time with loved ones, and serving with joy. We first met in middle school through Youth for Christ and playing tennis and have been walking in faith together ever since. We’re excited to journey with you and look forward to growing together in faith and community!
Emily is a NASA engineer who codes for space exploration! Nathaniel is a second-year medical student at A&M's EnMed program. They are both board game fanatics, tennis enthusiasts, and coffee shop connoisseurs. (Ask Nathaniel to play a pick-up game of chess or Catan)

Hello everyone! We’re Clarissa and Klarissa, the leader and co-leader of OYA (Oblate Young Adults) at Immaculate Heart of Mary near EaDo, Houston. We love creating a welcoming space where young adults can grow in faith, build genuine friendships, and find community to call home! When we're not at church, you’ll usually find us grabbing tacos, coffee, or both! We’re also big soccer fans, and will be cheering for our favorite teams in the World Cup! And yes, we’re both named Clarissa (one with a K, one with a C), so there’s always a 50/50 chance we both turn around when you call us. Be there or be square—we can't wait to meet you! I've attached our photos and a picture of our location's exterior for reference!
Howdy y’all! We attend St. Michael the Archangel, where Kelli lectors and Grant assists with OCIA. We look forward to learning from everyone in our small group as we all grow closer to God together!
attend St Joseph's parish and I went to Texas A&M University. My hobbies are pretty boring but I enjoy traveling, hanging out with my friends, and following politics as a sport. I enjoy the deep rich history and tradition of the Church and in youth ministry I love seeing people being able to truly connect who may have never had an ability to meet outside of that group and the great mosaic of folks that end up together each week both as a reflection of our Church and our community.
Hi, my name is Rudy Gonzalez, a parishioner at St. Joseph’s. I am a Former engineer and now product manager. I am a musician by passion and always eager to learn new skills and try out new things.

He was named Annon and Hanno after the Malayalam Word Aana (ആന) meaning Elephant). Matthew is an avid rock climber and is currently engaged and will be getting married to his fiancé Léa next year.
Hello! I'm Nathan Brunello. I'm a parishioner at St. Laurence in Sugar Land, and I'm a recent graduate from the University of Houston, where I studied geology. Since childhood I've wanted to become a paleontologist, and as I've studied geology, I've developed a deeper appreciation of God's creation and providence. I love how God is present to His people through His mystical body, the Catholic Church, and I look forward to sharing in God's gifts with y'all!
