If you or someone you know has been affected by the floods and needs assistance, contact Catholic Charities of San Antonio at 210-718-5837, which offers emergency financial assistance, funeral expenses, counseling assistance, legal services and other immediate needs.
Donations are being accepted at the Catholic Charities Galveston-Houston Midtown Office (2900 Louisiana St., Houston) and at the Mamie George Community Center (1111 Collins Rd., Richmond) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Thursday, July 10. Catholic Charities will handle delivery of items to its sister Catholic Charities agency in San Antonio for distribution to affected Central Texas flooding victims.
