A major relic of Blessed Fulton J. Sheen, his lower jaw, is displayed following the Sept. 24 Beatification Mass at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis. The relic, chosen because it symbolizes the voice that preached the Gospel to millions through radio, television and the written word, was presented during the historic Liturgy attended by more than 50,000 faithful. Pilgrims from across the U.S., including dozens from the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, joined nearly 1,000 priests, scores of bishops and religious in celebrating the beatification.
